I am not a good photographer, but every once in a while I get a good one. A beautiful picture of a beautiful place.

Logan celebrates turning 6
St. George with the Magowi Tribe
The Maughans, Goddards, and Wilsons headed to St. George on May 10, 2012 for the Brian Regan comedy concert at Tuachan. Somewhere during the three day event, the Magowi name came into existence. We enjoyed Brian Regan, the antique car show, swimming, and the highlight of the trip was shopping at the D.I. We all came out with shopping carts full of treasures. We love going places with these guys and the warmth and the scenery of St. George made for a perfect get-away.
Hidden Hollow 2nd Grade performance
Rachelle's 2nd grade class is ready for one of two performances for the the school. On Friday night they will perform for their parents. The focus of the program was about having a world with more love. I have enjoyed teaching an art lesson once a week since Christmas with Rachelle's class. They are a cute bunch of kids. I really miss teaching and helping in Rachelle's class seems to help fill that void. Thanks kids for letting me come and use my creative skills on you.
Brighton turns 4!
I had the great privilege of being invited to Brighton's ballerina birthday party. Brighton had invited 6 little friends to celebrate her turning 4. She was excited as can be with the new purple tutu her mom surprised her with. Mom decorated her cake to look like pink ballet slippers. The girls loved being taught special ballet steps by dance teacher Natalie. It was a fun party. Thanks, Brighty, for letting me be a part of the celebration.
Rachelle graduates!
Rachelle graduates from Utah Valley University on April 27, 2012. She graduates with a 3.96 g.p.a. and a degree in Elementary Education. For the past year she has been an intern 2nd grade teacher at Hidden Hollow Elementary School in Eagle Mountain. Before graduation she had already been offered a job for next year. She will be teaching 4th grade. Congratulations Rachelle!

The last to go......April 2012
This past year our yard went through quite a transition. I think
the plants were shaking in their roots when they saw me coming with the pruning
shears. The last to go were our three trees in the park strip.
The roots had broken the sprinkling system and were beginning to
lift the cement. Murray City arrived to take out the trees. These
guys were very efficient and within a half hour all three trees were cut down
and shredded. They cut down the whole tree and put it through the shredder,
which makes me wonder what kind of blades can do that? In a few weeks
they will come back and plant two new trees. We miss the shade and the
yard looks so different. Richard asked the other day, "Can we please
not take out any more plants?" He says our new rule should be only
to replenish, instead of destroy.
