Day 3 in Hawaii

Grady and Taylor told us to look for the Leonard's bakery when we got to Hawaii.  Jimmy put it in his phone navigation and walla..we were there.  In fact, I wonder how we ever managed before the days of phone navigation and gps systems.  Well, we tried to read the maps and always missed the exits and Richard was always uptight and mad....so thankfully, we now have a lovely British voice telling us when to turn and we are all happier.  Anyway, Leonard's is famous for it's malasadas, which they serve right from the oven or grease, hot and yummy.  I had the cinnamon and sugar one and a custard one.  The malasada is a ball with a crisp outside and soft dough center..like a donut but without the hole.  We ended up going here three or four times during the week and there was always a big line out the door, except for some reason, when I took this picture.

Day 3 was going to Laie.  We went to the Hawaii Temple, BYU Hawaii campus and then the Polynesian Cultural Center dinner and show.  At the end of the day, Dad said that was the best day of his life....or something like that.  He loves the Temple and loves the fire dancers at the PCC.
